I'm wondering if you are hoping to get encouragement from people on this site to ask something of your wife that you are not sure if you should ask! You already know how to ask this question, what you seem to really be asking is SHOULD you ask it!! Only you know the answer to that through judging how you think your wife might react. Also, the fact that you state you are really attracted to your wife's best friend sort of suggests that it is her you really want to sleep with and suggesting a 3-some is just a way to getting to have sex with your wife's best friend, which is what you really want??? I would recommend asking some deeper questions of yourself and your real motives here. If you are not sure how your wife will react, you could end up damaging your relationship and the trust you have with your her and she might not any longer feel comfortable having her best friend around when you are. My personal view is that I think it sounds like a really bad idea to suggest sleeping with your wife and her best friend at the same time ... I would not be happy with my partner AT ALL if he made such a suggestion. However, we are all different, I might be a prude and your wife and her best friend might love the idea ... your call, your risk, you will have to take the consequences of whatever decision you make. When you bring a third party into a relationship especially a marriage so many things can go wrong. You must consider your wife first before your own desires if you want to keep your marriage. She may be open to your idea but maybe her friend will feel uncomfortable with the situation. How strong is your marriage? Have you pondered on the idea that your wife and her best friend could fall for each other and break up your marriage or vice versa? Real marriage with real consequences. I think you should keep other ladies out of your marriage and remember this little hint, you married you wife forever, better or worse whatever...... don't do it if there is any sort of doubt that your partner wouldn't like it, ask her, has she ever done anything like that, before asking her to do it, if she says that she hasn't, ask her if she would, but, don't for one second say that you are attracted to her friend, if she is up for it, why don't you ask her to suggest someone, but i wouldn't reccommend this if your relationship isn't strong or stable eough to withstand your request, it could lead to her having some real insecurites, think about it long and hard, is this request worth more than your marraige, only you know your partner, and know how she would react, if you think that its worth taking the risk, then maybe your relationship isn't the one you should be in, on the other hand, she could be up for it, suggest first, if there are any ways that you two could spice up your love life, and listen to her first. good luck!
