Not really. teachers act as facilitators of learning and as such, put in more dedication, loyalty and love into their methods, which computers cannot do.

Of course not, no more than a computer/robot could replace a parent. Computers are nowhere near the point of replacing roles where human levels of empathy, understanding, and "human" thinking are required.

A PC with a webcam in a distant farm connected to several other PC's in a virtual classroom MAY work in a pinch, but you still need a real live human teacher in the mix there somewhere, probably on a webcam enabled PC as well.

Thats as close as we should get to it with out some pretty huge advances in AI.

No. Children need the interactions with teachers. Teachers can see the body language and other human tendencies of students. Teachers also have empathy, which is essential in education.
