I am opening an ice cream shop in a couple of months and I would like to hear about the best or most creative flavor you have ever tasted...

what sort of flavors would you like to see an ice cream store have?

I like tomato--sounds gross but quite good. I miss Spamoni, cant find it anywhere anymore. Like the basics too--chocolate, vanilla, strawberry. I like Blue Moon too, but you can only get it in and around the Great Lakes area. Strawberry cheesecake--haven't had that in a while, either, but I know that's still around. Ooh, just remembered Lemon Chiffon--that was nice! Peanut Butter Cup. Moose Traxx. Mackinac Island Fudge. Rocky Road--can't forget Rocky Road! Mint Chocolate Chip. Black Cherry--yum! Banana Cream Pie. Boston Creme Pie. Dutch Apple. French Vanilla. Superman. Orange Sherbert. Pineapple with the chunks of fruit, not just flavored ice cream. Peppermint. Pistachio. Butter Pecan. Cookies and Cream--yum! Cookie Dough. Neopolitan--almost forgot that one! :))

Mango Cherry was good. it was pretty also.Sight or appearance is a very large influence of of the eating experience.
I tested that once at a restaurant where I was the head chef. I took some ice cream and molded it into a chicken, one was chocolate so it looked cooked, one was vanilla with strawberry sauce, it looked, well use imagination.
Apple Butter ice cream is dreamy.
Anything with Fruits or Berries will go over good.
The customer is always right, where opinions are concerned.
So smile and be genuinely happy.

My kids really dig the cotton candy flavor and the cake batter flavor at the local ice cream parlor. They usually get a scoop of each. Me personally, I think dark chocolate has really boomed over the last couple of years. You go to the store and see 60%, 70%, 75% cocoa, etc....I think you could have dark chocolate ice cream in a similar manner!! Let's not forget about beef jerky flavor either...never had it, but it is one of my ideas!!! If you get rich on it, or the dark chocolate idea, I would expect some remuneration :-)

The best flavor of Ice cream that I've had is 'cake mix' flavoring.
What I've heard the baker tell us is that you just dup a box of cake mix in the ice cream while it is being mixed.
I always order that flavor ice cream when I see it!

The richer the taste, the better... Like Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream. YUMMY!
Of course, that would cut into your profits.
Good luck

I've had these unusual ice creams:

Cotton candy flavored ice cream (kind of ick to me but my 5 year old loved it)
Bubblegum flavored with bits of bubblegum (had as a child and liked it).
Kitchen sink flavor which is double chocolate with chocolate chunks, nuts, peanut butter chunks and gummy fish.
Peanut butter fudge ripple (vanilla ice cream with ribbons of peanut butter and fudge).
Cherry cordial (cherry flavored ice cream with chocolate covered cherry chunks).

Good luck to you - it sounds like a yummy shop!
