While the bible is a good source to rely on, the greatest thing about GOD is that you can have a personal relationship with Him. I have had the opportunity to converse with GOD and have felt of His love for me. No, I don't expect you to just believe me. I would offer you this thought. I have 7 children and no matter what they do with their life, I will always give them my unconditional love. Even when they disappoint me. GOD is the father of all of us and even when we disappoint Him we can be sure that He will always love us. Even if we don't believe in Him.
By the way, You should know that there are so many people here on earth that love you as well. I am one of them.

... I'm a Christian and...well, once you think about it and really consider it, everything that is in this world and in the universe, is really impossible to show that science has to do with it. True, experts have made up hypothesis'
and it can be done; but who and how started the spark that made everything? There HAS to be a higher being and, yes, the bible is a great source of what the Christianity and Jewdism is built on... I guess it depends if you're of that faith. Jesus does love you and just about everything proves it. Everything that is wonderful on this earth; good and bad is from Him. Also, Jesus has given us another chance to live a better life for us by dying on a cross for every single one of us... whether people believe Him or not. I know I am! :]

It is not presumptuous. It is a reality that God loves us. No greater love than this than a man who would lay down His life for a friend. This world cannot understand this kind(agape) of love. No matter whether others choose to believe it or not. God is still God. He is not limited by our acknowledgment of Him. May God Bless U.

The Bible does point me to God- however Christ is the reason I know that God loves me- He paid the price that I could never pay so that I have a relationship with God. God proves His love and grace to me daily. Experienced His provision and love just yesterday in a situation that my family is struggling with-

To those that say god has blessed their lives and made them happier, what do you say to those that have miserable lives but are still believers? Why does god so arbitrarily bless you over others of equal faith? I've seen plenty of christians claim that it is because those living miserable lives aren't really faithful, how condescending and arrogant of you, I'm sure god is pleased that you feel that way. God loves us so much that he introduced satan to adam and eve, gave them a tree they couldn't eat from then punished us all with death and eternal damnation when the deciever tricked us into eating the fruit. What a loving deity.

you've made the blunders of equating 2 different words. The Exodus be conscious for jealous is ???? qanna?' kan-naw' (a Hebrew be conscious) The Corinthians be conscious is ?????? ze?loo? dzay-lo'-o (a Greek be conscious) the first meaning is jealousy. the second one is envy. you may want to easily examine quite of taking the know atheist web content. Equating suitable meanings for words of two different languages is usually a mistake. except you're an atheist it variety of feels. BTW: Your Bible version seems to suck.

Yes: I personally believe God loves me because of the Bible. Let me start with some biblical evidence of God's love. Afterwards, I'll discuss the rest of your question.
- "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son..." (John 3:16)
- "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
- "...the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)
- "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy..." (Ephesians 2:4)
- "Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." (Ephesians 5:2)
- "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" (1 John 3:1)
- "...God is love..." (1 John 4:8)
- There are many more verses here: http://www.biblegateway.com/keyword/index.php?search=god%20love&version1=31&searchtype=all&limit=none&wholewordsonly=no&startnumber=1
So, I've established that the Bible says that God loves us. But, that doesn't really answer your question. Is it presumptuous of me to point you to the Bible as the proof that God loves us? Yes, it is. It presumes that the Bible is true. (Or, at least, it presumes that you believe it.)
The truth of the Bible is really at the heart of your question. If the Bible is true, then we would be wise to believe what it says about God's love for us. If it isn't, then we can't trust what the Bible says about it. Indeed, if we don't trust the Bible, then there is little reason to believe God loves us--or even that there is a God. People can talk about their relationship with God--indeed, my relationship with God is a real source of strength for me, and I'd love to discuss it with you--but I suspect that answer isn't sufficient for you. Having a relationship with God and experiencing His love is dependent upon believing in Him in the first place. That points us right back to the Bible.
Stepping back a bit, my belief in the Bible boils down to a choice. Now, I believe my choice is well justified--especially after I made the choice and experienced the fruits of faith--but it started with a decision. Many wise philosophers have attempted to prove or disprove God. If such a thing were possible, surely one of the many wise people would have done it, and surely there wouldn't be such a raging debate today. (Or maybe there would, but whatever.)
The reason I believe in the Bible is because I believe that Jesus of Nazarene was the Christ, or Messiah. He really did walk the earth, and there is a lot of historical evidence to suggest that he a) died on the cross, b) was resurrected, and c) ascended into heaven. I'm not going to detail that argument right now, but I'd encourage you to check out http://resurrectionism.com/ for a compelling argument. I know it all seems circular, but it isn't. Jesus as the Christ is foundational (and based on historical evidence); belief in the Bible as God's word follows from that, and belief that God loves us follows from that.
Great question, by the way! It's definitely good to examine such things carefully. I believe it's worth the time and effort to research such matters of faith. If there's any chance of an "afterlife", surely there isn't much that could be more important to get right in this life!

In John 3:16 God so loved the world that He gave . . . The world is everybody and everything and therefore it includes you. God loves us while we are sinners (Rom 5:8). God is Love. His nature is love. He loves us out of HIs grace, His unmerited and undeserved favour for us. He loves us unconditionally. His love has nothing absolutely to do with us but everything to do with Him. Just receive His love in humble adoration for Him.
