I'm Irish...living in Ireland...so I'm guessing a 6th grader is around 14-16yrs old? I have no idea how many kilos are converted to 120 lbs.
Trying to get a child to loose weight is madness. At 21yrs old, when she completes her development, then you may worry about her weight. But don't feed her that American fast food crap while she is young! Pleanty of spuds and cabbage, like your granny used to cook!
I'm 5'3, when I was 14yrs old, I was 8 stone. Since then I have put on One stone and I am 10yrs older but no taller! I was always told by my doctor that I was a helthy weight.
Don't forget that your daughter may also have a good bit of growing left in her...she will need the weight to help her grow.

She is in the healthy weight range. Start walking with her at night after dinner, she might just need a little more activity. Also make sure she is not drinking lots of sodas and eating junk food.

She is actually on the lighter side for her height. During the growing years - until the age of 19, she needs all the weight she has to nourish her body in all it's changes.

I think that weight is pretty fine with that height. But it would be nice to slim down a bit. You should check the BMI of your daughter to get the best weight for her height.

your bmi is 17.8, and ideal body mass index is 18.4. you are a bit under average but not in any danger. as long as you're eating normally and not losing weight you'll be fine.

according to the BMI scale, yes, she is at a "Healthy" weight...just make sure she is active, and stays that way. she is in a higher percentile (82nd), but still lsited as healthy.
