The only airport in Massachusetts with nonstop flights to/from the UK is BOS (Boston), with flights to/from Heathrow. Airlines include Virgin, BA, and American Airlines. Booking direct from the airlines, and going nonstop, are likely cheapest and best in this case. Seasonal nonstop service to Manchester (closer to Hull, of course) resumes in early April on an American/BA codeshare flight.

Try inputting some travel info into expaedia.com or other similar sites to give you a feel for the routing and costs involved for the travel plans you have explained. You may have to fly to other European or UK airports to get connections into Hull though.
