The scientific method is empirically based. One creates a hypothesis, sets up an experiment with a control, and observes, and checks one’s findings against that hypothesis.
It seems to me that the claim “Science disproves God’s existence,” over steps the boundaries of what science actually can do. One cannot observe a spiritual being, or set up experiments to “test” if He is there. Would any one who holds the position that “Science disproves God’s existence” care to explain how the scientific method is able to address questions pertaining to God’s existence?

I think you have asked a great question, a scientist setting out to prove or disprove God would be an incompetant one in the first place, the nearest some people get is saying `I see no God so He dosen`t exist`,hardly scientific is it?

there is nothing in the scientific method that excludes a creator or miricles and Lord Bacon, or any of the eearly proponents of the scientific method would all be theistic Chrstian creationists

the difficulty is not in operational sciences, where the scientific method is applied to observable, testable and repeatable situation in agriculture, medicine or technology and literally nothin in those fields of positive impact on mankind rests on evolutionary thought

the difficulty is when you take philosophical presuppositions and assumptions and bury them in a way that appears that you are talking science about origins when really you have a ton of concealed philosophical baggage. Origin science is not an operational science and more akin to historical sleuthery, but often touted as if it were

Creationists and naturalists will look at the same evidence, but because the assumptions are do different the conclusions will also... at least the creationists are aware of thier assumptions... the naturalists are seldom aware fo the philosophical assumptions they bring to the table thinking wrongly they proved something which was an assumption

although modern icons like the emminent philosopher 'Elton John' suggest we not allow parents to teach their children about God, at the same time being named 'godfather' to some eminent citizens of Hollywood , one has to question how somoene with 3.5 lb of brain is so sure they can exclude a God from the vast universe seen and unseen ... maybe he can write a song about it...eh?

By definition the supernatural is outwith the boundaries of natural science-no scientist has EVER said that they can or would even want to disprove the existence of a supernatural deity. The question is disingenuous-it's levelling a veiled criticism at science based on something a scientist would never even say.

Great question. Science cannot prove the creation of this earth either. So that leaves to mind that there is a God and God did create the heavens and the earth.

I've never heard of a scientific finding disproving God. But it certainly hasn't proved God either.

Science HAS proved that ghosts are real as a manifestation of energy , as for proof of God there is no way to test it its not something that can be duplicated or tested in a small bubble

Prove your God isn't actually a pink elephant with no interest in mankind - only elephants have souls and when they die they play with hula hoops forever.

You can't can you? So maybe not being able to disprove something doesn't make it true.

The God Yahweh is a scientist who created what we see and don't see by His know-how of progressed fields of technological know-how that many are nonetheless unknown to mankind in the present day. faith progressed from the shortcoming of mankind's medical know-how to describe what God has carried out by His progressed medical know-how.

Science can not prove that there is no God (ambiguous term). Science can prove that a literal Bible is not an accurate account of a God.
