I have been overweight all my life pretty much and I am a 29 year old male. I have started diets and done well and then stopped. I have absolutely no will power at all, and I have no energy at all either. I just am looking for some advice on a certain diet that may work well, or how to get motivation, anything that you think may help. I wish I could just get my metabolism going so that I didn't have to work so hard to loose weight. Anyway, any advice??

Well, this is the site that I used. Lost 20 pounds in 4 months, and have kept it off for almost a year. It's the same premise that all diets are based on - eat less, eat better, and move more. I'm a numbers person, so the calorie counters with pie charts and graphs appeal to me.

There are also message boards to find support, and it works by having you change a couple habits at a time, so you are more likely to stick with them. I really have changed my patterns and habits - I do the right things almost unconsciously now. I'm now a runner, have a couple races under my belt, and training towards a 10K. Never thought that would happen. In fact, I never thought I had the time before to exercise.

Worked for me. It's free, but requires registration. Link below:

Okay we have the same story (but I am female)--same age, no will power and no energy. I have been able to lose weight in past but gain it right back. Yesterday I made the decision to join Weight Watchers. Everyone I know on it says it works and your energy bounces back. I need someone to weigh me and keep me accountable for my weight gain--plus it feels good when you lose weight and people cheer for you!! My goal is to lose weight and start runninng (which will keep my metabolism high).
