I like to smash down the barbs on my hooks when pond fed fish are put in lakes. Anyone else? I can just shake most fish off, without touching or hurting them. At least i think this is a better way. What you think?

Yes, it seems to keep calm on the area i'm fishing, so many times i catch when other aren't. Usually with light tackle, I miss big ones, but they seem to like coming back and breaking my line again. So, thanks for the answer. Do you ever use 2 hooks?

Great way to fish, I do the same. Also on lures with 3 sets o treble hooks, the middle one is usually not needed. I remove them, they just damage the fish and make it harder to remove the others.

That is very noble of you, but do you lose many fish while fighting to get them in??? I am a catch and release fisherman, but I enjoy the thrill of the fight. I may try doing that to see what happens

First, experience the forage. locate perch, bluegill and bass colored lures and throw those. Then, attempt huge-spread bass baits like spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, jigs. If that would not artwork, flow for the fluke/wacky rig/senko variety. it truly relies upon in the experience that they have spawned or no longer, climate, water color, etc.
