AGAINST!
1. For females aged 9-15, the study has only been followed for about 2 years. The long-trem affects are not yet known.
2. Less than 1,000 study subjects were between ages of 9&15. THat is not very many. Only 100 of them were 9 years old.
3. Many vaccines, including Gardasil, have aluminum hydroxide in them. Recent studies are showing that this causes symptoms similar to Lou Gehrig's Disease and Parkinson's.
4. Only 70% of cervical cancers are caused by HPV.
Cervical cancer is no longer on the top 10 list of deadly cancers. Death from cervical cancer is rare. Most women who die of cervical cancer, are women who have had it for several years before they get a PAP smear.
The best way to prevent against cervical cancers is to get a PAP smear every year. Pap smears catch cervical cancer in the early stages when it is very treatable.
TX governor did make it mandatory for girls going into 6th grade in 2008 to get this vaccine. Currently, senate is trying to get him to rescend that order so that parents can make their own choice.
After a few years, if it still seems safe, I may get it for my daughter, but I think I will encourage her to get a PAP every year and practice safe sex (if any) before marriage.
ADDITIONALLY: Be aware that it is supposed to cost $120 per injection x 3 injections, but doctors are actually charging more like $210 per injection.

This is a very scary subject here. This vaccine has not been tested long term for adverse effects. I took my youngest daughter to be vaccinated against whopping cough. She almost died from the severe reaction to it. I do not think any government, especially ours, has the right to mandate that we give our children vaccines. Did you know that 17 people actually died during these clinical trials. Yes, they were dismissed as unrelated by the clinical investigators, but it is not made public for us to know the circumstances either. Did you also know that the placebo contained aluminum, know to cause nerve damage? The people taking the placebo also encountered headaches, vomiting, diarrhea and pain at the injection site. This aluminum is also in the vaccine. How safe is that? What happens if your 9 year old develops some form of arthritis from this 4 years down the road. This vaccine has not been tested long enough in my book. I would rather preach and hound on using condoms than rely on this for preventing her developing HPV. Also, it only works against 4 types. There are over 100 types that can lead to cervical cancer. My daughter is not a guinea pig!!!

I don't have any daughters of my own. But I am a woman with the HPV virus.
In my OPINION, I believe it is a wonderful thing that parents have the choice of having their daughters vaccinated. I feel bad for the girls who's parents believe it will only lead to more promiscuous activity. They are missing the point. Why would anyone deny their daughters the protection against something as horrible as cervical cancer?
One simple shot is all it takes to protect these girls over one simple mistake. Cause one mistake is all it took for me to get HPV. I've had several treatments to remove precancerous cells and if I had a daughter I wouldn't want her to go through what I've been through.

Mothers may think that they have complete control of their daughter lives "My Daughter would never do anything to get that diease." Maybe that's true, maybe it's not. Just because you are given the vaccine doesn't mean your going to put your self in the position of getting the HPV virus. It is better to be safe then sorry. Seriously what do you have to lose?

I think this is a money making ploy in Texas...maybe the drug companies pay into a candidates campaign, then the public officials make it the law for people to force their daughters to have shots for a disease that is not common nor infectious...not knowing the possible long term side effects ...

They make vaccines with formaldehyde and mercury. Without vaccunes, there is no autism! Does that answer your question? Aids was spread by vaccines (either accidently or on purpose)
