I'm not trying to offend atheists, but whenever I say I'm Roman Catholic and ask a friendly question like, "What is your opinion on your local church" and the question is directed at christians who still go to church and still believe in God, they go ballistic and tell me that there is no god and basically diss anyone who believes in Him. I've asked politley for them to not bug me about my faith, but would they listen? Of course not. So I just told them not to this time.

Let's see what Jesus had to say (or not say) on the subject. When Jesus was in the presence of two of the most (in)famous men of his time, Pilate and Herod, he barely gave them notice.
And then we see how Jesus reacted to his own apparent fame -- Herod, who according to Luke 23 was, "exceedingly glad to see him.... and desirous to see him for he had heard many things about him (Jesus)." Jesus's response to Herod was, to say the least, ho-hum.
I believe God sees what is in a person's heart. whether a person is famous or not is irrelevant.

I'm not welcome? Well I'm COMING IN ANYWAY! Because you don't tell me where I can and can't go, much as you'd like to. And you know what? If I'd seen this question I'd have thought, "Who cares what God thinks of famous people. Would any god be shallow enough to worry about Tom and Katie? Do you think he keeps up with what's going on in the Big Brother House? What are his thoughts on Heather and Paul's split? Surely no-one with any sense thinks these things would cross the mind of an omniscient creator of the universe - these are the concerns of the apolitical and dim-witted." But I wouldn't have answered. Because there's no crossover with my interests there.
But start bossing me around, lady - and this is what you get.

I've never actually been excommunicated from the Roman Catholic church, so I guess I'm still "one of you". And even though I call myself an atheist, I've got immunity. Heh.
"God" doesn't say much about celebrities aside from stressing that pride is a sin and that we're all to be humble.
"God" utterly despises atheists. The first sin was seeking knowledge (The tree of knowledge), and that's what atheists are all about. There's several bible passages that remind Xians that atheists are either to be converted or persecuted.

God does not look at a person as we mortals see each other , that is in terms of wealth, fame, beauty, intelligence. He only looks at your heart. Have you loved Him above everyone and everything else while you were on earth? Have you loved your neighbour as He commanded you to? This is how He looks at a person whether it be a poor, homeless guy or Tom Cruise. When a person faces Him after death to be judged he will be asked about his good works and not his degree of fame.

I am so thankful I'm not roman catholic if this is how you treat people who don't follow your faith. You should be careful as to who you think GOD will judge. The Roman Catholics have a long history of sick corruption. "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone", Jesus Christ. Perhaps you could take a cue from the savior who died for our sins. You need to be worried about GODs' opinion of you. Thank you and GOD bless.

You are very smart to not listen to atheists with all their so called evidences and use of reason.
Remember the words of Jesus:
"But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me." Luke 19:27
This tells us we should kill atheists who refuse to worship Jesus. If we started listenening to Atheists then we might become convinced by their satanic arguments. Then when Jesus returns to get his revenge he would torture us in hell.
As far as famous people. God loves those who believe in Jesus such as Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell and George Bush. Those who would reject Jesus like the democrats will face his wrath. Jesus will tear their hearts out. They may think they can stand up to Jesus but Jesus will crush them like a bug.

I bet you atheists will find a way to answer your question.
I think God's opinion will be same as for average people. What he will expect from us is how we have been good stewards of his blessings. Rich and famous people are called to help others who are less fortunate.
Have a blessed day

God loves them best of all, that's why they are famous. Geez, all You have to do is watch "Father Ted" a couple of times and see what motivates the characters on that program.
