This is a serious question.

Hi, I'm a muslim, also I have some Christian friends.

They say there's a passage in the bible that states that God doesn't allow you to judge others,

So why am I seeing a lot of prejudice among Christians these days?

Why is there a lot of you Christians prosecuting us Muslims(Along with other religions and beliefs)?

Didn't your bible say do not judge others?

By judge I mean by:

"Oh some muslim terrorists bombed, Islam must be a religion of terror."

"Oh you're a muslim. Must be another terrorist/psycho".

Oh come on this is a serious question >_>

I can tell you this. I'm a christian, and one thing is for sure, we're not perfect. Forgiveness for a christian is a daily process. I have to pray everyday. I mess up all the time.

We can judge behavior and it is obvious why....we have to choose don't we. I'm still trying to figure out why people judge the color of a person's skin. What does this have to do with the price of tea in China? Technically, we all use to be the same color until God changed this. I cannot find any mention in the Bible on this issue on skin color. If one spends their life wrapped up in racism I think they've failed and I think self-destruction via stress and all the other turmoil that comes from that chosen behavior proves it. To even have the right to debate an issue there needs to be grounds for a debate and skin is not a behavior nor a problem. We are born what we are to be humans w/skin and it's none of anyone's business which and what color God chose.

The Bible tells us that when Adam and Eve (as one) decided to rebel and ate that apple they would now see good and evil. Does anyone ever see the word "good" in there? It points out the good in discipline/structure and even tho Adam and Eve were punished they felt the wrath. However, also forgiveness by God yes, they would now be exposed to sin ..see and experience it for what it is but also know (the good) that God is all loving allowing change. It's like He had already made the dicision that if they rebelled they would recieve a consequence, which they brought upon themselves, however, there will be a part to this consequence that they could use to change their ways...if they allow Him into their heart and do things His way, obviously life would get a bit less chaotic even tho evil would now always be lurking about with His love there for balance.

We were all, at one time, kind of located within our own cultures long ago. Who on this God given earth are we to say if or if not most are actually worshipping the same God but some may be wasting their life bickering about "good" which means we are doing wrong. It would be just like God to test us in this way. Could this be another test some have failed because I see it causing nothing but trouble. I agree judging people instead of behavior is not what God calls love and definately does not represent what He represents. That could only amount to prejudice which is not love it's direct hatred towards people for the bad choices of others.

The Bible says in Matthew 7:1-5 that we should not judge hypocritically. It isn't an injunction against all judging of any kind. It is the same passage where Jesus says that before you worry about the speck in your brother's eye, remove the log from your own eye. The point is that we should worry about our own moral shortcomings first and then we will see more clearly to help others find the truth. Unfortunately, there are plenty of hyper-judgmental Christians out there and, to my shame, that includes me sometimes.

Hi, I'm a Christian but I'm not persecuting your religion or any other religion. Isn't Islam the religion of peace? Christianity teaches love. Peace comes with love and love comes with peace. We all may have different religions but I believe that no religion is false. If we all just learn to live together respecting each others religious beliefs then peace and love would rule the world. An open-mind is the key for understanding and learning to respect other beliefs...

I'm sleepy... am I still making any sense? I wanna be your friend.
Let's be friends to prove that people with different religious beliefs could live in harmony. We could learn different things from our respective religions that may enhance our humanity...

Did you know that there are 31,143 verses in the Bible? There are many verses about judging in the Bible, it is a big book. When someone takes one verse out of that many you can be pretty sure they are not giveing you the whole picture. For God to say, don't discern good from evil, would be foolishness. For God to say never judge anyone would be disasterous in our lives. To not judge a pedaphile and protect our children could cause us life long suffering. The only reason you don't want to be judged is because you don't want the true facts about your religion and its awful history to be known. That is very deceptive. God warns us over and over about discernng false prophets by their fruit. Do you know that the Bible says, 1 Cor 6:2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? I speak as to wise men; judge for yourselves what I say.

I'm sorry that you have had others judge you - it is not my place to judge. I can and should tell you about the Gospel of Jesus, but after that, it's between you and God. I can't answer for those who have judged you, and I can't speak for the prejudice you have been shown. My husband is an Arab-American Muslim, and he has experienced prejudice as well. I will tell you what I tell him, people who cannot see beyond the exterior to the shining person inside have issues themselves - I feel sorry for them, because they are missing out on joy and love. Peace to you and yours.

There is also a passage in the bible that says Judge Righteous Judgement. If I tell you that your going to hell based on what God's word says then I am not judging I am telling you what God said. In other words if you told me you do not believe in Jesus then I can tell you what God's word says based on what you tell me. The bible says without the shedding of blood their is no remission of sin. The bible also says Jesus is the way the truth and the life no man come to the Father but by Jesus. God made the judgement and I am only telling you what He said.

matthew 7:1 says " "Do not judge, or you too will be judged."

There are a lot of prejudice among Christians these days because they forgot about this verse.

Christians should love their neighbor as they love God.

Matthew 22:37-40 says " 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[a] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[b] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

I hope that Christians will be reminded again of God's Word.

Yes you are correct the bible does say we should not judge (see below). But I do not believe that persecution is happening because of religion (Iraq is about greed and oil), nor do I believe that most Christians want to impose their beliefs on Muslims. There are some intolerant Christians but they are a small and loud minority.

What do muslims feel about others beliefs? I read yesterday that hundreds of foreigners were arrested in Saudia Arabia for dancing and drinking. The punishment for this was stated to be jail time and a flogging. Are they tolerant of others beliefs?

Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measurement ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote (speck) that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and them shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:1-5

But what do I know I am just an infadel.

Good question.

The conflict between diverse beliefs is not due to the belief itself. You can believe anything that you like. You may believe that you have the truth, just as I can believe my understanding is the total truth as well.

How do we treat each other as people, regardless of our religious persuasion? That's where political and military conflict originate. That persecution is not based in any holy scriptures (whichever ones we prefer). It is based in more mundane motivations such as greed, selfishness, control and anger. The Middle East as well as other parts of the world have been the focus of such persecution and conflict for centuries, regardless of the admonitions to live at peace with one another.

Thanks for asking.

It also says in the Bible "Thought shalt not kill" so why are Muslims instructed to go after non believers, why is it preached and written in Your Koran that Kafirs are to be hunted down?

Its the non believers in Islam that are being persecuted and you know it for a FACT!
