Well I have always had that question... I found it ridiculous how by cutting the end works in growing the begining, does it send a signal??? I think they say that because when you cut it it gets short and then since you remember how it was you see the diference while is growning and is reaching the point where you had it first.... But if you don't cut it you don't have a point of reference where he was before...... That's bull!!!

Human hair grows from the roots and what you see is dead cells. It makes no sense and is a total myth brought on by people who cut hair to further their business. It is true that your hair will develop split ends, because it is already dead, and that if you trim these, your hair will look neater. That does not mean that your hair will grow faster! It is an Urban Myth. Dead cells outside your body do not send any signals to your insides.

Cutting your hair ends only shortens them. Your hair is still growing at the same rate. Cutting them only keeps them neat in appearance. Ask a professional hair stylist what she recommends .

As for me its very important that you trim your hair atleast every after 3 months, just like our nails that has to be cut once a week,if not the nails would look bad, while the hair would be dry and unhealthy...

If you think of it logically, hair growth begins at the root.. not at the end... getting a regular trim will cut down on split ends...
