The leaves are poisonous. You can eat the stalks. They are delicious. Some people eat the stalks raw but I find them too tart. I like stewed rhubarb. Check out the links for further information.

To the best of my knowledge, all parts of the plant are poisonous whether eaten cooked or raw...especially the green leaves.

The only thing that is poisonous are the leaves, if you have the gut to eat raw stems they are very sour and you will get diarrhoea !

Yes, it contains Oxalic acid, but it isn't a strong poison. Go to the hospital emergency ward and tell them, or call an ambulance. If it was me, I'd put a finger down my throat and vomit it up.
