I am 24 years old, I am in a healthy weight range, I do not smoke or have high blood pressure or cholesterol and every single time I work out on the treadmill I get sharp pains in the left side of my chest that almost always radiates to my arm and neck. The pain starts about 7 minutes in and is located near the bottom of my rib cage. The pains do go away almost immediately after my workout. I have not called or seen my doctor about it yet. Can anyone relate or tell me what they think it is????

You DEFINITELY need to see a doctor. You're experiencing angina pectoris and it could be serious. Arteries around the heart start clogging with cholesterol at the age of 10, so don't be surprised.
I was a crime scene detective in the early 1990's (I have high cholesterol and didn't want my doctor to prescribe me medication)...the next week I handled a case of an unattended death of a 26 year old healthy male landscaper. It turned out he died of a heart attack in less than 60 seconds because the autopsy showed his coronary arteries were 80% clogged with cholesterol deposits.
I immediately called my doctor and made a follow-up appointment to get a prescription for statins and gemfibrozil.
It happens...see a doctor before it's too late.

Angina is not a nitroglycerin deficiency, but if you could borrow a nitro pill from an "old" friend, it would allow you to make a positive diagnosis without the expense of a dr. visit. If a nitro pill relieves the pain then the pain almost certainly is angina, and you need to take vigorous preventative measures if you hope to have a long and productive life. See Richard Shulze at HERBDOC.

If you get chest pain, left sholder or throat pain with exercise it could possibly be angina (heart pain).which could lead to a heart attack if ignored. I don't know your medical history but it would do you no harm and maybe lenghthen your life if you spoke to your doctor. Not all angina is painful. Some people have "silent" heart attacks or only one or two of the classical symptons; which are, pain as you described, shortness of breath and/or cold sweats. Good luck.

Let me see you are walking (muscle movement) and the pain is there and referred from the tight muscles with knots in them known as trigger points.
Read a book called The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.

Due to the radiation of the pain you need to see a Dr. immediately. The sounds allot like angina due to exercise.

Even though you are in a healthy weight range your body may make to much cholestrol and your body is having a problem
Best to go see a doctor, see if can find a problem, then if it does happen and its something simple you can fix it easily
