I was strength training for a month and gained five pounds, so I added the cardio, I'm eating 5-6 times a day; fruits, cottage cheese, light n fit yogurt, cashews, whole wheat breads, pinto beans, veggies, poultry (no red meat), low sodium V8, V8 fusion, greentea, water. I take off monday both diet and excercise, and strenth train 3-4 times a week as well. I'm about 100 pounds over weight, diabetic type II and still hoping for results???

One reason, one possibility:

1) You're gaining tons of muscle from the increase in activity. Keep a cloth tape measure by the scale (you can find them in almost any store that sells fabric). Keep track of your measurements as well. Even if your weight plateaus, you may lose an inch off of your waist.

2) Your diet looks ok, probably a lot better than it used to be. Do you count calories as well? If you increase your caloric intake at the same time you increase your activity level, you may experience difficulty losing weight. Read labels, get a food scale, keep a food diary.

Okay, first off, those are incorrect. If you are nearly 200 lb, chances are it's not all water weight. But if you want to lose 10 pounds really fast, just take an ice bath and soak in there for 40 minutes. It works, I've tried. I'm 5'7, and I went from 147 to 108 in four months before I was pregnant. I'm not kidding. I'll let you know how, but you can't abuse this information. It can be dangerous. 1. Count your calories. If you're consuming more than 2000 per day, that is bad. Cut down to 1200 per day for a week, and then cut down to 500. If you stay that way for a long time, you will lose a hell of a lot of weight really fast. Eat whatever you want - cakes, chips, candies, whatever. But don't go over 500. You'll see especially great results if you even go to 200 or 150 per day. Don't fast though, because this just kills your metabolism and you gain weight back when you start eating again. 2. You don't have to work out THAT much, but make sure you ride a bike or walk or stretch for at least 10 minutes a day. 3. Drink NO carbonated beverages. Stay away from coffee, everything. Drink 8 glasses of water or tea per day. This will flush the fat out of your body. 4. Buy some diet supplement at a drugstore. It doesn't matter which one, just pick one and try it out. honestly, if you've got enough determination to to be doing daily exercise, you've already won most of the battle. It sounds like you've got the right idea, eating healthy...my only comment there is to try and limit your calorie intake to close to 1500 per day. If what yur doing is even lower than that, bravo. the key to losing weight is endurance exercises. strength training is good, but not nearly as effective. the trick is to do low to moderate intensity endurance workouts for long periods of time (taking a walk, which may be your 30 minute cardio u mentioned). Once you've become mostly comfortable with this, try walking faster or jogging for brief intervals of 1-2 or 3 minutes. The goal is to extend the amount of time you spend jogging. I'd say pick one day out of the week and walk/jog for an hour (be sure to pace accordingly, but dont make it too relaxed...the point is still to push yourself), dusnt matter which day...whichever is most convenient for you. Take the next day off from exercise to allow your body to recover. if you continue to step up your efforts over time, the pounds should wittle away. just remember to push yourself a little during your walks/jogs and you'll be in much better shape in no time.

P.S. I know little of the ailments of diabetes, so I'm sorry if this plan is undoable because of your conditioin. If the plan is still within doing, despite your diabetes, you'll likely have success.

Stop looking at the scale. You are getting fit, and shaping yourself. The pounds will fall off. Don't stop. Let your clothes be your guide. The clothes will get loose!

What you should do is measure your body parts and see if your measurements go down
You could be putting on muscle and muscles weighs 2 1/2 more than fat

1st of all see your doctor,my dad is a diabetic so I know how important it is to get your weight under control, tell him about the problems that youre having, if youre strapped for cash and can't see him, call him or her and tell here, he or she will be more then willing to give you some answers

whatever you do, dont stop... even if youre not losing weight yet, you are gaining cardiovascular strength... something you will appreciate later
