*Diet* is really a very negative word. I believe in healthy lifestyle changes, such as cutting down on fatty, sugary, processed foods, limiting salt intake, eating more fruit and vegetables, and getting regular excercise.

Many so called diets don't work and can be very expensive too. Common sense prevails in most cases.......or it should.

Exercise does not have to be a chore or be expensive either. Walking is the best you can get and it's free !!

If you DO want help or a *diet*, then your Doctor will refer you to a Dietitian who will draw you up a diet sheet and plan designed for you.

Think Healthy Lifestyle........Not Diet.

Well I lost my weight doing a combo low carb low sugar South beach type diet. The only problem is I've lost too much weight and can't put it back on lol. I aso don't eat as much fried food cut out fast food haven't had a soda in over a year. Just need to put muscle on. It fits me best because it worked on me. I think everybody has to find his/her own diet It's just by trial and error.

That's a really big weight loss goal. Why not try to find a dress that compliments your curves? It can always be taken in if you lose weight. That's what I did. Losing a bit of weight over your engagement is fine but you want to be healthy about it. I lost weight before my wedding by giving up fast food, soda (a big challenge for me), and going for walks every evening with my sister. I also wore weights on my legs when I went walking. I did lose quite a bit of weight and my dress did need to be taken in. I was a size 16 on my wedding day. Not teeny tiny but you know what I still looked great! My dress fit perfectly and I felt great. : ) You will be beautiful on your wedding day no matter what. Best wishes to you.

The only one that has ever worked for me was to start eating when I wanted....what I wanted (within reason) about 5 or 6 smaller meals a day, food becomes a lot less interesting and delireable when you don't deny yourself and by eating many smaller meals you never have that I have to sit and stuff my face till I am about to blow up feeling...may not work for you but I dieted all my life and fnally just through my hands up in the air and figuired I was just meant to be chubby, that is when I started to lose weight, I stayed off the scale and noticed my clothes were getting looser...fianally did get on the scale and found I had lost ten pounds...and then more and more...I have never gained a pound back...
I know it sounds too simpistic to work but it worked for me, I devalued food by not making it such a big deal...might work for yo too...good luck!!!!!
