I have pink eye. I went to the Dr yesterday and she said that I could go to work. However my coworkers don't want me to go in today. Are they being ridiculous? I feel they are. The Dr said as long as I wash my hands frequently and don't touch my eye I am not going to spread it. I work part time which means no benefits so I am essentially losing a days pay. They said they are comfortable with me returning tomorrow but in all honesty I'm just as 'infectious" today as I will be tomorrow. What are your thoughts opinions?

Your doctor is right, just wash your hands and do not touch your eye. Your coworkers are being overly paranoid.

I have always been told by my kids doc that you have to be using the drops for 24 hours for it not o be contagious anymore, so i would say they are not being ridiculous. It is very contagious!! How would you feel if you gave it to someone else. I know i would feel bad!! Hope you feel better!!

Go back to work and forget what they say,
Use visine, and rub some carrot oil around eyes, dont get in eyes.

pink eye is very contagious.
