I read the Bible and the Koran and I can hardly tell the difference. The only thing I'd say is the Koran has many more highly aggressive passages (Kill the infidels, etc.), but the Bible has them too. Aside from that, the two books almost sound like they were written by the same nutcase.

Lover of God: are you familiar with 20th century history? You do know that Hitler was raised Catholic, led the most Christian nation in Europe and claimed to be doing God's work? Stalin went to an Orthodox seminary.

Im going to keep this short. The fact that you do not see any difference between the bible and the koran says more about you, than about either of those two books. Now about some of the differences: The Bible has proven itself to be Historically and Geograpically reliable. There has Never been a demonstrable statement of Fact disproven in the Bible. If the bible says a certain city existed, then you can be sure that the city WAS there when the bible says it was. Many an archeoligist has set out to "disprove" something in the bible only to come to the conclusion that it is historically accurate. Exampe: many critics used to ridicule the bible because it spoke of a people called the Hittites and about their vast empire. But there was no record of these people ever existing in history. So, critics said, "see the bible is not true". UNTIL the advent of modern archeology. In the 19th century they began to unearth thousands of artifacts and records that attested to this peoples existence. But do the critics ever admit they're wrong. Of course not. They just go on their merry way and start looking for something else to critisise. This kind of stuff go's on all the time. The more the bible is verified, the more critics look for something else. NO PROOF is ever enough. MANY an archeolygist has come to faith in Jesus just by the "turning of his spade". And some have actually started their careers just to prove the bible wrong, and what they discovered in their work did just the opposite, and they became believers. An example of this was Lew Wallace (though he wasnt an archioligist), He was determined to prove the bible wrong, after his research and studies trying to do just that, he became a believer and wrote the book "Ben Hur". There are MANY such examples. That is how I myself came to "faith". By trying to prove to a friend who was a christian why his "faith" was all a big mistake and could not possibly be true. After about 3 years of study and research just looking at FACTS, I became convinced it WAS true, and became a christian.-----theBerean

"small information" contain the conception in Jesus's statuspurpose. chrsitians count number on jesus as god's representation in the international, be that as his son, as god himself or as in spite of else one can pick to trust. muslims beliebe in jesus as a prophet. his delivery change into an representation of gods potential. in spite of the undeniable fact that, there are quite some similarities between both religions as both have an identical origins. buslims do trust that a bible change into printed, in spite of the undeniable fact that, muslims trust that the bible christians have as we talk has been replaced some distance too a lot to be a sturdy source of precise informaiton. also, after the bible, human beings's situations replaced and a clean, more effective proper holy e book change into required. for muslims this new e book change into the quran. and no, muslims do no longer trust strapping on c4 is a call for, in spite of the undeniable fact that i'm tempted to sat all people ignorantstupid adequate to trust it really is a call for might want to be shot interior the pinnacle for no different reason than being sluggish interior the pinnacle.

Difference? Our God (Christians) is a living God and holy God who does not lie. He's a God of miracles, so many people have been healed and blessed. Who did the muslim god heal, creat? Exactly, no one. Our God is a mighty God, don't compare him to that worthless, non-existing "small" god. If you cannot tell the difference between the two books then you definitely read the Bible in the wrong way. Before you read the Bible you should ask God to give you the understanding, His knowledge and wisdom so you don't understand it like any other book. Holy Bible is Holy. Please don't compare God to idols, don't compare Christians (God's children) to Muslims, Holy Bible to a book written and inspired by a pretender. No offence intended.

Some of the differences were outlined by Pope Benedict in his Regensburg address.Reason plays a different role in the two religions.Since you don't seem to be in a mood for subtleties I'll simplify for you:if a Christian and a Muslim jump from a bridge at the same moment, the trajectory of the Christian is determined by the law of gravity, while that of the Muslim is determined every single moment by the will of Allah. This is one of the reasons science developed tremendously in the Christian countries and not so much in the Muslim ones.

The God of Muslims is the same God of Christians. The Qur'an is a continuation of the Bible.

well,in Islam we don't need Jesus(PBUH) to ask God 4 everything
we ask him directly
also:
we pray 5 times
we fast remadan
we go 2 Hajj
we give Zakat (money 2 poor people)

and by the way," people of the book" (Christians and Jews)r not included in the meaning of infidels
also, killing infidels is allowed when they attack us in war .. but if they didn't why would we kill them?

Star Trek fan?

I am a Christian, and even though the way you worded your question shows that you don't really want an answer, here's mine.

Christianity is God reaching down to people giving them a free gift of salvation - a loving God, whose holiness creates a need for justice. Sin separates us from God. He paid the penalty for our sin so that we could come back into relationship with Him.

Islam is man's attempt to be good enough to reach God. Pray 5 times a day, go on hadj, fast during Ramadan - and hopefully the good deeds of your life will outweigh the bad deeds and you will be admitted into paradise - in essence buying your way into heaven.

Very different, very clear choice.

They are both variations of the same aggressive religious mind virus, you could say they have both evolved from the ancient Judaic religious mind virus...all these religious mind viruses are parasitic and their prime directive is propagation and spreading of the virus to others.
