My favorite BUDGET line is Carnival as they really do give cruisers a good time, the ships are nice and the staff are enthusiastic.
My favorite MID LEVEL line is Princess as they have an awesome selection of ports, nicer ships and food than the others.
My Favorite LUXURY line is Oceania. They have food that rival any of the best restaurants in the world, awesome staff, and visit amazing ports that are off the beaten track.

Carnival since they are the most affordable and they party all day long! plus the cabins are bigger, and staff is super nice. At the end all cruises are pretty much the same, but I make sure to know where I wanna go, then comapre the different cruise lines and Carnival always has the best offer.

You asked so I'll give you an honest answer. I've been on Queen Mary II - NO; Princess - they quarantined me due to Norovirus brought on by passenger NO; Carnival - it was no fun for me - NO; Holland America - average age was 79 - NO; Norwegian - it was okay, but then my favorite I bought stock in the company ROYAL CARIBBEAN!
My best cruises have been with them to Caribbean, Panama Canal, Western Caribbean, etc. I took Celebrity to Hawaii on Infinity it was awesome! I know if I go Celebrity or Royal Caribbean they treat me like a member of the team, not the oppositiion like the other cruise lines. I recommend them to everyone I meet. You can't go wrong. I never have.
Storage on both lines is excellent - you don't have to live out of your suitcase. Service is excellent and unlike Holland America their food is delicious!

We have been on three different cruise lines - cabins are roomier on Carnival, but the private island stop over on Royal Caribbean was a favorite - very relaxing...

Carnival Cruiselines is my top choice. Never had a dull moment unless wanted to. Staff on the phone and on the boat were courtious and friendly. Bartenders made my drinks nice and strong. Food was excellent. Ive done 3 cruises with them and never had a bad time. Hope this helps.

It depends on the situation for each person. I.e. budget, etc. Bust just in general my three favorite would be Disney, Cunard, Princess, and I would probably throw Celbrity in there as well. All are great, traditional cruise ships.
