Depends on how you lost his respect. Did you lie? Then come clean, tell the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth. And then continue being truthful in all your dealings with him and anyone else in your life, friends, family, employers, co-workers, teachers - BE HONEST. Given enough time, he may realize that you made a one time error and give you another chance at having his respect.
If you lost his respect because you slept with him to soon - like before you were in a committed relationship, or otherwise, you won't get his respect back. If you lose another's respect due to sex, you need to let go of trying to get his respect back, examine your values and work on gaining your own self-respect so that you don't mistake sex for love/care again in the future.
These are just guesses - it's hard to answer your question without more detail on how exactly you lost his respect. If these answers don't help you, maybe they will help someone else who may stumble across this question.
Good luck to you, whatever the situation is.

Nothing that you can do will turn a jerk into a nice guy.
You get respect By associating with Guys that treat people with respect. These may not always be the most popular Guys.
You need to make up your mind what you want.
Respect, or the attention you get when you are seen with a popular Guy.
Love and blessings Don

Hard to answer without knowing what the situation is.
But generally respect is not something you "get back" you earn.
Once someone loses respect for you, you will have to spend a long time EARNING it back.
Kind of like getting a zero in school you have to make a lot of A's to make up for that one zero.
And really you need to ask yourself is all that worth it?
If you disrespected him that bad, how much do you REALLY care about him? *Think about it*
Good Luck ;-)

Well it would help if you told us how he lost the respect?!?!? If you did something that made him not respect you then you have to show to him that it was a mistake and that you can change! If he just lost the respect for not apparent reason then He is a t*at, and I wouldn't want his respect!

Depending on what you did, it isnt easy. The only way you can get respect back from a guy is if he allows you to.

once they've taken it, they don't give it back. You need to find a new guy that will respect you. And you need to learn to respect yourself first. and once you respect yourself, people and men will start respecting you.

it really is needed to appreciate those that deserve appreciate in spite of sex or gender, yet ought to we educate it? No. who's meant to educate appreciate and how do you educate appreciate besides? i imagine the note 'appreciate' thus is this style of meaningless note that it renders the completed difficulty a waste of time to even talk it. people ought to get alongside with one yet another, unfortunatly that purely isn't the case; some people appreciate each body, some people appreciate no man or woman, some people educate better appreciate to people of diverse age, sex, gender, race, pollitical and religious beliefs etc. solid question regardless of the indisputable fact that the concept feeds that is too simplistic.
