Under system requirements it says "Windows 95"...I think because the game was created back in the 90's. Will it still work on later versions of Windows, even if I upgrade soon to Vista???

It's hard to say. Most old 95 games work in XP but a couple don't. The ones that don't you need to change compatibility settings in windows. I have had the occasional one not work at all under XP. It's hard to know without knowing what game it is. May not work on later versions of windows. I recommend sticking with XP for a while longer (it will be supported for the next few years anyway) because Vista still has lots of bugs to be sorted out and incompatibilityi issues with games.

Hard to say. You could have compatabilitie issues. Win95 is quite old. However, it wil be more compatible than if it was a DOS games. Another thing is the speed of your PC. Older games where made for the technology of the time. Games a lot of times relly on counting cycles. Playing a game on a super fast computer can have adverse efect like thing moving around too fast or certain things not trigering at the right time. One example of this is when I was playing a copy of leisure suit larry. There was a part where you had to do some bench presses. The joke was that he could only do 6 bench presses of about 35 pounds or something. Well, that ws an old game but i was playing it on a newer computer so I had to do over 300 bench presses before the game would trigger the results.

My sugestion is to go to the manufacturers website and ask them about it. Also, a win 95 games is quite old and it can't cost more than $5 dollars so, it might not be a waste to try.

The majority of 95/98 games work on XP. In fact, there is an option where you can create an icon for the program, the right click on the icon and go into the Properties for it. You can then go to the Compatibility Tab and tell it to run the program in a special Windows 95 or Windows 98 mode. Works for about 99% of the games on the market.

Windows XP and Vista do have compatibility with previous versions of Windows.

After installing your game on XP/Vista, just right click on its shortcut, click the Compatibility tab, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode" box and choose Windows 95 from the list.

i work in electronics at an department store. people who have recently bought laptops with vista downloaded on them are having a problem play computer games. you may want to contact the game company and talk with them first. not all games that are windows 95 work with newsystems, but most do. if it just says 95 theres a good probability that it wont. if it says at least, or 95 and up your good.

XP should be able to handle a 95 game... if it doesn't you can use the compatibility wizard and see if that helps.

I doubt it will work on Vista just yet though.... because most XP programs can't even run on Vista.

Yes but then don' expect too much from it.

windows 95,98, ME is build ona different OS than windows 2000 and XP also vista :)

there are some sound issue and slow gaming.. because it's different configuration...

it's better to look for games that are more modern :)
