"Yeshua" would probably be the closes spelling of the name in the English alphabet. Source of the English name "Joshua". It was transliterated from Hebrew to Greek to Latin and finally to English as the name "Jesus".

It is -yod hay vav shin ein. This becomes YAHOSHUA when you try to transliterate it. When you translate it it means YHVH is my Savior. It IS the same set of letters that the "translators" mistakenly "translated" "Joshua". The "J" didn't exist until 1400 A.D. so we can be sure there wasn't one in the Savior's name.
