I feel sorry for the folks who supported this war in the beginning and now have changed their opinion. I'm sure Bush would have pursued his reckless policies regardless, but he wouldn't have been reelected and the Dems would have gained Congress earlier.

I for one was completely against this war starting with the propaganda phase. It was obvious to me that there were no WMD's, the UN inspection teams were doing their jobs, and the Administration's claims to the contrary were completely fabricated.

Saddam was a toothless tiger. The tiger is dead, but now we have to deal with all the hyenas that the tiger kept at bay.

The above answer by ulagam seems to illustrate the problem with a lot of Americans (apparently, you don't have to be an American to be fooled by Bush propaganda). There was NO connection between Iraq and 9-11. The attack on the WTC (not the WTO) was just used as a pretext to invade an enemy that posed no threat to the US but which had strategic petroleum reserves and plenty of room for Middle East advance bases.

In a valid conflict, with credible evidence and compelling data of an overpowering reason to flow to conflict? truly i'd lower back the President (whichever celebration) to the fullest. that is why i'm completely in the back of him interior the conflict in Afghanistan. regrettably, thats no longer the case with the conflict in Iraq. Iraq had no longer some thing to do with the assaults on Sept eleven, 2001. No hijacker develop into Iraqi. No funds develop into or practise of Al Qaeda terrorists got here about in Iraq. till 1990, Saddam Hussein develop into an American best chum, Rumsfeld even visited him in Iraq (there are a great number of publicity photos showing them shaking fingers), even as he worked for the present President's daddy. for sure, less than Reagan, IRAN develop into an best chum too, at one time. keep in recommendations "Iran/Contra"? Is Bush only mad the leaders of those international locations imagine he isn't any longer the guy his father is? Is that why he's so wanting to throw infantrymen' lives away? Or is it the OIL?

The government were on the terrorists side during Afghanistan vs Russia, supplying the Mujahadeen with weapons, training them, calling them freedom fighters. Then they do a 360 and turn on the Arabs because their real motivation was to control the Middle East all along. Spread democracy like peanut butter and carve up the resources

you mean the war 77 PERCENT of Americans dissaprove of. This war is nothing but a drain on our economy ...the new budget came out and its 2.900.000.000.000 that is in dollars. The war costs us over 140 billion a year. AMAZING...while millions go hungary this winter. This war is not making America safer it never was. Do not support this war of lies and deceit. Its time for Bush to make it right.

Rmember, the president only has limited power, it's the senate and congress you should be against if you are against this war. I support the fact that we should kill every terrorist in the world today. So I guess I support him and the war effort.

Not completely. But since we are already there, in war, it would be ridiculous to pull out now. Terrorists would kill all the innocent Iraqi people. That would be horrible.

But I don't agree with sending so many more of our soldiers over there.

I am not an American. I fully support him, for his straightforwardness. You seem to have given up on your President. Soon after the WTO attack, you wanted the blood of Osama. When the struggle is on, you want to disown him, simply for the reason, more and more of your soldiers are dying. You must understand that in war, men die. A soldier should know that he goes to war, in which he might die too. That is what a soldier in other countries is taught.
