You could have chronic mono. What happens is that the initial infection never away. Your monocytic activity is always slightly elevated that can leave you more succeptable to viral and bacterial infections.

My son had chronic EBV and his enzymes are always slightly elevated (he usually takes a nap right away when he gets home and has no problem sleeping at night). When the EBV goes up, he is worse, then after sometime, it reduces back to it's slightly elevated state and he is okay for a while, then it repeats. We have it down to every two years now which is better than once a year. Improvement was seen by cutting out all meat. He still consumes dairy.

Get your tonsils removed. I was always getting sick with colds and flus and one day my Dr said lets remove your tonsils to eliminate the possibility of tonsilitis.

After the operation and a few days of pain... No more colds. been the picture of perfect health ever since.

You may want to have a blood workup to determine if you have a disease that causes constant sickness (Hep C, HIV, Hep B etc). You probably (hopefully!) don't, but why take the chance? Anyways the workup (a full one) will show all sorts of possible maladies and weaknesses. Hope that his helps you out. Good Luck.
