I want to buy a Scanner and as well as documents I have lots of old 35mm slides which I want to digitize.

The new Epson V350 scanner sounds good but one review said it took ages to scan 35mm slides and another said it was very fast?

Has anyone performed this function on the V350 and which review was correct?
Or should I go for the Epson Perfection 3590 (a "Which" best buy) it has been discontinued but still available?

I haven't used either of those two myself, but I have seen others use them. From what I have seen so far, both scan 35mm at about the same speed, but some people have complained that the 3590 is a bit noisy, and tends to have few more problems with 35mm at times. I would go with the V350, most people have had outstanding results with the V350.

easily not! especially with the sixty 4-bit version. The sixty 4-bit version of XP replace right into a retrofit via Microsoft. residing house windows 7 is designed around it. Vista replace right into a canine, yet residing house windows 7 runs approximately as quickly as XP in maximum circumstances, plenty speedier in some situations. the only reason i can verify for employing XP over 7 is on structures with very limited maximum memory. E.g. 1GB. XP is makes use of much less equipment memory. for sure you mustn't be working a sixty 4-bit OS on a 1GB RAM equipment besides.
