...without even knowing it!

How did you meet-run into your out-of-the-ordinary 'guests' in past/recently?? What happened when you were in their PRESENCE? Did they change your outlook/life?

It states that you never know if you might be entertaining an angel. Not that you will, you might. The idea is to be kind to those in need, even a stranger.

I have experienced many angelic visitors. One showed up as a man in work clothes, dirty but with a smile. He walked over to where I and a friend was talking and got a drink of water from the hydrant by us (we were outside). There was just something really different about him and it occurred to me that he might be an angel in disguise. He didn't say anything, just looked at both of us and smiled - we didn't say anything either. I decided to watch and see where he went so I concentrated on keeping an eye on him. But a moment later I felt as though I was waking from a dream and shook my head like I was dazed. My friend said "where'd he go?" There wasn't time for him to cross the open area from us to the next building across a set of rail road tracks. We just looked at each other and grinned. We are both convinced that it was an angel. Why did he appear, drink water and leave? I don't know. But I've never forgotten it and it has made me more conscious of being hospitable to strangers. There are many times that different things have happened and I felt sure they were angels in our midst and it does give a person a different outlook on life, people and service.

The one thing that the Bible makes clear is that when we do encounter angels we have no idea that they are angels. It is kind of like "no man knows the day or the hour" As soon as God says no one knows then everyone starts claiming they know. Probably the "out-of-the-ordinary-guests" were not the angels, it was the "comon, never suspect" ones that were.

I think too much attention on angels is so missing the point!
They are penultimate beings, which presupposes that there is an "ultimate" Being... ie their (and our) Creator.
My question would be, why are so many people obsessed with angels and other "spiritual experiences" (ie walking a labyrinth, going on a silent retreat, looking for angels, etc.) yet miss all the many ways God is active and working in their lives throughout every experience of every day, the big and the small?

there are 3 types of visitations of angels.

Angels that look like other humans as was described in the book of acts when paul was called an angel after escaping prison.

invisible angels that do not appear but are nearby and watching.

and those that do appear and are seen.

but there are also fallen angels that have appeared in historical times that appeared and deceived many into believing False dieties.

I've never knowingly encountered an angel. However, my brother did. He was sleeping, when he woke up he saw a being, bronze in a white robe watching over him - floating slightly above the ground. He was shaken and frightened, he looked away, and when he looked back, the being was gone.

The bible says lots of things. 99% of them are pure crap.
Like the following;
Bats are unclean birds.
Women are worth less than men.
Children should be killed for disobeying their parents...
The list goes on and on.
Suffice to say, it's a book of badly written fiction. If it were to appear on an editors desk tomorrow, it would be tossed in the trash about 4 minutes later. Where it belongs.
