Well it depends on the passage you're reading. If it is something that requires sarcasm then no. That said, the Bible, according to my knowledge, has very few passages in which it is being sarcastic! So to read any passage sarcastically is a sin, because it is mocking the word of God.

It isn't very nice to sneer at any ones efforts for I am captivated by some of the brilliant writing that the bible offers. If you dip into the old testament you will laugh your socks off at some of the antics they got up to. Its a load of work to write any book but to write one that is still read a couple of thousand years later is marvellous. My guess is that you have written many erudite books yourself and find the Bible writing below your standard but you have to remember the thing has been translated from different languages and not just once. On the other hand you may be one of life's losers who do nothing and achieve nothing except grouse at others in a meagre attempt to give yourself status - only you will know

if you are displaying an array of feelings, related to the various characters in the text, then it isn't. If however, you are using uniformly a sarcastic tone, while going through the good book, then the implication is that you are cutting down on it , at least that's what they'll blame you for

Well, some people read the Bible to see if they agree with it.
Questioning the Bible is good, but sarcastic? no

It would be very mean
but sarcasm is not a sin.
It is NOT on the list!
It is NOT on the list!
Your wit will not be missed.
Your wit will not be missed.
(With apologies to G. and S.)
PS.The sarcasm may be aimed at those to whom the text is read and not at the text itself.
"Let the one who has never sinned cast the first stone" is a case at hand.

Should only be done when voicing other people not God or Jesus. They are the heroes of the book and should be taken seriously.

Scripture says if you choose to know His will, you will understand. It might be better not to read than to read while choosing to make fun of the Almighty!

Everything is a sin if you want it to be.
So yes, someone is bound to get the hump about it.

Only if you're a preacher in front of 2500 people. Otherwise perfectly acceptable, pretend it a tabloid newspaper
