When is an appropriate age to stop taking your children to daycare?

I know a woman who still takes her daughter to daycare and the daughter is 14, almost 15 years old. (she's not handicapped or anything)

I'm just curious. There really isn't a need to be sarcastic or rude.

Depends on the child. I like the following guidelines.

10 years old can be home alone
12 years old can be home alone with siblings
(these are actually military rules)

However, if you have a kid that you don't trust at all, I would think that you would rethink when it would be wise to give them that freedom. Sounds like she's being protective of her daughter which is nice, but may backfire later. However, some children don't like to be alone so perhaps her daughter is simply more comfortable with others around. She may also enjoy helping out with the little kids at the daycare.

I run a daycare at at the age of 14 the child is considered a helper. i however, never had a child who was 14 in my daycare the oldest i have is 8 at the moment, she is only here after school and i really don't think she needs to be here she is old enough to entertain herself for the hour and a half she is waiting for her mom.

you'd be attempting too a lot structure too late interior the day. they're possibly drained and cranky, or a minimum of carried out with the day and in a position to play on their personal. also, boys are not typically as "as a lot as %" on such issues as females are. for instance countless the video games you're taking section in will be nicely understood through the girls, although the guidelines will be too complicated for the lads. that could reason some frustration. you may also pick to attempt spitting up countless the aggressive boys into communities with the girls. Say perhaps 2 boys and four females in a unmarried team..or one boy and some females. you should understand that those are really little ones. they don't seem DOING THIS TO YOU. they're only being who and what they're. it is your activity to handle it in a lifelike way.

i think up to year 6 so that's 11 ish is ok to take to after school care as it's too young to be home alone but normally day cares only go up to a certain age and i think 14 is way too old

what does it matter if another woman is still taking her child to daycare she is the one footin the bill

four i guess. in pakistan kids of four years of age are quite grown up cuz they start going to skool.

When the child can find his/her way there
