if you are so afraid then you must see your doctor, missing heartbeats does not mean major heart problems you are more likley to suffer stress worrying about this.palpitations you be suffering from and to ease any worry they might carry out what is called angiogram, they will enter your femeral artery through the groin after having a local anasetic injection under x-ray conditions and inject a dye and trace it to discover if any problems exsist this lasts about 40 mins and you will spend about 4-5 hours flat after a certain period you will be raised up .it is not painfull at all .i have had 6 of these and yes the first one i was a little apprehensive but in the end found there was nothing to worry about the proceedure.you will be to eat and drink.not able to drive for 24-48 hours after and may well suffer some bruising it depends on the doctor doing it.

I have an irregular heartbeat and occassional tachycardia (200+ pulse). Go see your doctor and arrange to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours. It records every beat of your heart and then they analyse it and tell you if there is a problem. What you are describing is common and often harmless, but sometimes not so get checked out.

Sounds to me like premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) Most people do have them every once in a while. You should be concerned if you are having them regularly and more than 6 or 7 in a minute. I personally have them and they can be scary. Go to your doctor or ER next time you are having them and they can hook you up to an ECG and monitor you for a while to see how many you are having. Always go to the doctor if you are experiencing something out of the norm for you and you are worried. No one on here can accurately diagnose you. Good luck to you.

I have had ectopic (irregular) heartbeats first diagnosed 30 years ago. It used to frighten me and I would jerk awake gasping for breath like I forgot to breathe whilst asleep. My doc said ithe breathing thing was anxiety related and he was probably right because I stopped getting it once I had an E.C.G. which showed my irregular heartbeat was "not significant". I still get it but now I just ignore it.

They are called "Heart Palpitations". I would go see a doctor and let them know. Then get your Thyroid checked, and see a cardiologist.

My heart palpitations lead to what is called "Hyperthyroid", And not many people know they have it, alot of doctors overlook this. But its important to get in to see a doctor and get it checked out.

If you do have what you say then it sounds like a form of sleepapnia (spelling?). If you have this then you need to see a doctor as it can be very dangerous.

No, but apparently i stop breathing sometimes. How do you know you have this condition ? I think the best thing would be to talk to your doctor.

I used to get them, but no more. Best thing you can do is go and reassure yourself at the doctors, and put your mind at rest.

Good luck
