Global Warming is a long term trend. There have been changes from hot to cold without man in the history of the Earth. However with the massive output of CO2 it looks like we might tip the world into a hot period. This is the only planet that we can live on. We should be taking more care of it.

"If global warming is caused by mankind's activities then why is there global warming on Mars?"

No one ever said that warming could not occur without humans. It obviously has in the past on this planet before we were around. The point is that currently we are causing warming by releasing heat-trapping carbon.

If global warming is caused by mankind's activities then why is there global warming on Mars? No one ever questions this global warming theory. They just accept it as a fact and if anyone does he is castigated and ridiculed. What ever happened to the free exchange of ideas in academe? If you don't just accept this theory your funding is automatically cut off. Is that academic freedom?
