you cannot spot reduce....reduce just one area of the body. you must reduce you intake of calories and your output of burning calories to help reduce your body fat. You can tone your hips and thighs with regular exercise. Walking( fast) or walking a running combination are great for this. Also walking stairs or any extended incline is good too. concentrate on 30 to 45 minutes 3 to4 days a week to start...go slow and build up. A reasonable diet will help as well...and drink plenty of water. No calories and it aids the body in burning fat.

there is no such thing as spot reduction - meaning we cannot target an area on our body workout that area and loose fat from that specific area.
You can tone up that area, by working the muscles by doing squats and lunges you can firm the muscles underneath the fat. the best way to burn fat is by doing cardiovascular work eg aeobics, bike riding fast paced walking ect. the weight will come off your entire body not just one place and over time your thighs and hips will reduce in size. In most women this is the last place for the weight to be lost...... unfortunatley women are meant to be curvy. keep at it and you will gt there

1 small thing you can do which apparently really helps (according to my dance teacher) is not to rest your body on one side of your hip. Stand up straight and have good posture.
Other then that, go to a gym and consult one of the staff in the best kind of excersize for you; and obviously, try and eat all the right foods.
