My pit always growls "real mean" at my mother/stepdads pit when I get ready to take him outside or even bring them close together (70% of the time) and then when I bring one out of the kennel the other one will go towards the kennel and growl at the other one sometimes I hear them growl at eachother but no "mean" growls...it's kind of weird.

As they are both males they will be trying to establish which one of them is 'top of the pack' - once this is established (hopefully ammicably) then there should be less growling and just and 'overall assertivness' from one dog to the other.

However - DO keep an eye on the both of them as this could turn in to a viscious and bloody battle - as can happen with many other animals such as lions/gorillas/wolves - it is not a pleasant sight and not one for the faint hearted.

Also - if they both have their 'bits' then there will be ALOT of testostarone running through their bodies and they do tend to get very dominant. x

imagine growling is canines way of telling others that that is accomplishing that is limits/staying power. so there is probable a sturdy chance that he may bite. i'd recommend you to keep the little ones and canines separated as little ones don't have any idea of probability or comprehend that the dos is feeling threatened. little ones imagine that is a sport, canines imagine that is in probability. perhaps you should judge giving the canines away cos there is not any way everyone may be in a position of observe little ones and canines 24/7 and it in common words takes a 2d for some thing nasty to happen.

Pitbulls have a Bi-Polar Problem. Not all of them but a lot do. Usually if you have two boy dogs one of them will show the other witch is the alpha male.

Because you have to boys! They love to argue over who is the dominant one... Be Careful... especially with this breed because it could turn nasty... looks like it is time to call the Dog Whisperer!

I'm baffled why a killing machine would growl.

It is part trying to assert his dominance and part play.
