French to English or English to French.
Plus other languages. Great site.

Translation websites are usually rubbish though. One French word can mean 2 completely different things (eg servir could mean to serve or to be useful), while there usually is an English word for everything you want to say (if not you just make one up!). Translation websites often give you the wrong word. Post your letter on here, I'm sure lots of people would be happy to help, me included.

The simplest way to do it is copy the letter in french onto Microsoft Word and then click on tools-languange-translate. A box will appear on the right side. Click on the options saying "Translate from French to English". Then click on the green arrow and wait a few seconds.©

SIMPLE!

Translate words, phrases, web pages between languages, and identify a language -- English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Greek, Norwegian, Chinese, Japanese & Korean.

Freetranslation.com is good, but it'll only give you the gist of the letter, not a perfect translation. If you'd prefer a more readable translation, you might be better posting your letter on here and asking someone to translate it for you.
