this is the protection that dvd makers put on their discs to stop perfect copies of them being made.
it is legal to make copies of your own dvd's (for your own use and not for proffit). macrovision is the leader in this field of protection but this can be removed with a program off the net called shrink.
this will make great full copies of all but sony dvd's.
sony dvd's use a far better protection and more advanced programmes must be used.
