Is it before exercise? After? If it makes any difference I'm doing regular cardiovascular exercise at the moment.

Im not sure for certain exactly, thou I always make sure I eat two hours before exercising, and wait two hours after to eat again. I dont eat carbs and protein in the same meal as carbs take four hours to digest, and protein takes only two, this can help digestion, Also may help if you tried eating smaller portions but more often (six meals a day) if you are just eating protien this will help keep your energy levels up due to lack of carbs, and not over fill your stomach if your exercising at different times in the same day, hopefully this is some help for you

take some easy carbs before exercise and protein shake after to restore your muscles which got damaged during exercise
