My cat was fixed as soon as the kittens were old enough to leave. The vet said it can be done straight away but it is better to wait so the kittens don't get stressed

Hi there...veterinarian's recommend queens can be spayed "after" the kittens have been weaned 6-8 weeks...the latter is best. Many cats can go back into heat 6 weeks after having their litter of kittens.

You can have your cat fixed as soon as the kittens are born and will still be able to feed the kittens

She shouldn't have had them in the first place.
When the kittens are weaned, you should now this.

For best advise, consult an expert..... YOUR VET !
Generally they cannot be fixed if they have NOT reached a certain age yet, if my memory is correct. And how long after giving birth already ....I'm not sure if it is right away, or there is a waiting period. Your Vet & his staff can give you all the proper time limits, if there is any.
