Basically the difference is viscosity or thickness.

The definition gets very blurred, though. A true grease is an oil and/or other fluid lubricant which has been mixed with a thicker substance to create a solid Grease is made from animal fats, whereas oils are made from vegetables or plants like the sunflower or olives. Olive Oil is your best cooking oil since it has no fat whatsoever in it. Lard is pure animal fat from pigs, it is a solid form of pig fat that has been rendered. Have you ever cooked or boiled meats especially hotdogs and seen the hard fat floating after it has cooled? Turkey broth from the roaster pan will thicken like that too if you let it cool, you are suppose to anyway to remove the fat. They do have kitchen devices you can buy now that are suppose to separate it and you don't have to wait for it to cool to

Well sort of the same I guess I would say that Cooking oil is in a bottle and cooking grease would be solid like Crisco maybe. Good question to ask.

grease is usually solid with a soft texture and oil is liquid a good example is baby oil.

Grease is thicker the same consistancy as vaseline or petroleum jelly if you are in america. oil runs freely

grease can be made out of vegetable oil , lard from pork fat,oil is mainly from seeds, olives, nuts, or beans.
