Jesus said this generation will not pass away until all these things are fullfield. Jesus meant that the generation that saw Israel come back into the land after almost 2000 years will be the generation that will see all the prophicies fullfilled, expecialy seeing the return of Christ. Isn't that awsome? But a generation is how long to you, some say 40 years, others say 70-80 years. And is it from when Israel came back into the land or when Israel recaptured Jerusalem? What do you think? this generation saw that in 1967 in the six day war, and also saw the birth of the United states of Europe called the EU. We have also seen the mark of the beast 666 been formulated by Javia Solana in 2000 for the EU parlement which to this day has a vacant seat next to it waiting to be filled by the antichrist soon. this generation is now seeing micro chipping soon to be implanted in humans and this generation is now seeing Iran and Russia as Allies for the first time in History.

It is easy to try to put a certain amount of years to a generation. Myself, I would say 75 to 100 yrs. The generation that Jesus spoke of that will be here at the end time is those people that saw Israel become a nation in 1948, & Jesus meant that there will be some people that saw Israel become a nation will still be alive when Christ comes back, Remember I say some people & not all people, because some people has died since 1948 & there are some that is still alive. I also want to add that this generation is also the one that was alive when those Jews were killed in ww2 by hitler. Back in the late 30's & early 1940's

How long is a generation? I don't know. What I do know is that this is the antichrist generation. Many don't see it or agree with it but it is and it's a pitty that it will catch many people off guard. I also heard that the Isrealites have gathered the wood to build the church, they are just waiting for the moment to come (everything has its time). I pray to God that His children are saved in those days. Please be ready to meet Jesus Christ or you'll be in the tribulation period. I think it's when Israel came back into the land becuase the Bible says that God will bring his people (Jews) back to their land.
But honestly all the signs are there that any moment the antichrist can appear, the famine, natural disasters are destroying drastically than before. People are more rebelious than in the past and they just don't care as long as they please the devil. Anyways thanks for the information. The bible says know the truth and the truth shall set you free. God bless you and everyone that reads and accepts this information/question.

the life expectancy in that area of the roman empire at that time was 25 years. and with a literal reading of Matthew, he seemed to be referring to the generation of the apostles. it would seem that the early Christians made this interpretation too as Justin martyr had to quell the dissent by proposing that all the world had hear of Christ. it was only in the 3rd century that it was interpreted as as prophesy of the distant future.every generation has seen the preachers of doom who saw the end times near at hand. at the first millennium, the doom sayers who saw the end at hand, said as it past, a thousand years is metaphorical. there have always been wars and rumours of wars. there have always been earthquakes and hurricanes. in the middle ages household livery was said to be the mark of the beast. in a thousand years time i expect there will be people saying that the civil war in the Jovian moons and the eruption of Mons Olympus on mars are signs of the end times because you can draw a million different meanings and read whatever you want into those verses.

I'm 62 years old and I've seen a great deal of the downfall of man from what was to what is. We've all seen this if your over 40. No one knows when the end times will come but all the signs are here and in place according to the Book of Revelations. Makes you stop and think. Those who reject God are making such a great mistake. It could happen tomorrow and once it happens, there is no changing your mind. It does predict this though. The multitude of those who refuse to believe in God is incredible. I feel sorry for them and all I can do is to keep witnessing to them about Jesus, the Holy Spirit and our Holy Father... God Bless you all.

Hmm I think a generation could be anytime from 60-120 years. If I recall correctly, wasn't there a verse in the bible that said no one will live beyond the age of 120? Or am I just reallly really sleepy?

So.. sometime between now and 2088? Not sure of the date, theres really no way of figuring it out. Its all up to God.

Man, I hope not.. I'll be old by then...

Verily I say to you that, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: But my words shall not pass away. -Matthew 24:34&35 AND Mark 13:30&31. There are some cryptic passages pointing to events. We are commanded to WATCH. There is not much we can do more than this. A generation can have a variable amount of time, it is in no way specific.

Your interpretation of this is a popular one, but it is by no means the only one.

I've been watching these predictions and events for a long time now, and the only sure thing is that EVERYBODY who ever predicted anything about this, based on the Bible or anything else, has always been WRONG.

The only thing we can count on is that OUR WORLD will end the moment we die.

If Christ decides to return before that, so be it, but trying to put a specific date or time to it has always been futile.

that is been 2000 years - by using fact that Jesus Christ pronounced that the era that sees those issues (The record of issues that He had purely instructed them approximately) does not bypass away till at last those type of issues happen. at present's era is seeing the failings ensue that He instructed us approximately in Luke 21. it is what you may desire to be gazing for: Luke 21:20 yet once you spot Jerusalem surrounded by potential of armies, then be attentive to that its desolation is close to. Luke 21:31-32 ...so which you besides might, once you spot those issues happening, be attentive to that the dominion of God is close to. veritably, I say to you, this era will by potential of no potential bypass away till at last all issues happen. The observe "THIS" seems to holiday up lots of folk whilst analyzing Scripture. As for how long is a era? it could't be measured in years, by using fact the lifespan of guy has replaced over the final 6000 years. yet there's a clue in Scripture, in Mat a million:17 The generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations From David till the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations From the captivity in Babylon till the Christ are fourteen generations There are some ministries who've counted up the years from this verse. they arise with someplace between 50 and fifty 5 years.

I was always told a generation was 20 years. I'm Catholic, but I wasn't told the definition rested on religious beliefs.
