No, no, no.
I suffer from acne and have done for 35 years! People used to tell me that I had spots because I ate chocolate, or because I ate something sweet. They blamed my long hair, saying it was the grease in it, but it was all a load of pooh!! I always have and still do eat a balanced and healthy diet. My hair was NOT greasy! Young people get spots because of changes in their body as they grow into adults. I had acne because that's what happens -that simple.
For me mine has continued because I have underlying problems with a digestive disorder and absorption of the right nutrients etc etc, so it is unlikely that you will continue to suffer with pimple indefinitely.
Enjoy your peanuts, just be sure that you eat a balanced diet too, and be sure to wash properly mornings and before bed. Get some lotions or creams from the chemist for treatment of spots and DON'T listen to the SILLY advice of people who really don't know what they're talking about.

In general, dermatologists will tell you this is not true, and that acne is one of the hormonal changes your body is undergoing. (Fluctuating hormones contribute to rising levels of sebum, which pool in your pores and show up as pimples.) However, if you find you are experiencing more acne after you eat a certain type of food, it's probably good to explore the correlation. A lot of people eat oily foods and then touch their faces without washing their hands; this oil could contribute to clogged pores. In general, it's best to keep your hair and fingers away from acne-prone areas as much as possible, because the oil from them can clog pores. Other people's skin simply reacts to food, giving some credence to the oily food/pimple correlation that most scientists debunk. If you want to figure out if your skin is reacting to peanuts, then try to go without them for a week and see if any change occurs. But I definitely wouldn't stop eating them because you've heard peanuts cause pimples, because this is in the majority of cases untrue.

See pimples / acne comes at the young age immediately after puberty. This is because of the hormones that are abundant at that point of time. The fat & oil breaks into these hormones more resulting in a much more increase of the same which in turn aggravte the pimples / acne . It because of this reason that it is adivsed not to eat any fatty foods so that one can keep these hormones at a low key and thereby avoiding the pimples. Hope this clarifies your question.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Your aunt is right (genetics). It is a myth that eating oily or fried foods or chocolate causes oily skin.

It is natural for teenagers to get pimples on their faces. It is better to let them remain on the face without disturbance. They will go of on their own. The problem comes when one starts itching them or cracking them with one's nails.
