Hey ive been shooting the same crap compound target bow for ages now and ive just realised that its really hard to find nice looking and quality made bows for women!! Does anyone know of a bow that fits this discription: I need a bow with 26" draw length and 40lb + and as i said good looking and quality made, not a kids fiberglass!

Please only serious educated answers! Thanks.

Check the links below.

At the Bowtech site, look at the "Equalizer".

At the Elite Archery site check out the "Ice".

At the Hoyt site the first link is a chart to the different configurations they offer, they have several that fit your needs.

The first link at the Mathews site is a comparison of several bows that also fit your needs.

The last link is to a bow specification and review site.

I'm sure there are several other companies that offer bows to fit your needs, but this list ought to give you a start. All of the sites listed offer quality bows. Just make sure you get the one that feels best to YOU and not to the salesman.
As has been previously suggested...it sounds like you need to find a better bow shop.

Good Luck!

PSE, Hoyt, any of the major brands make quality target bows with shorter draw lengths. They aren't specifically "women's" bows. They have colored risers so you can choose one you like if camo isn't your thing. They also have all the accessories you need. You can look up their sites on here and see what you like but shoot the bow before you buy it. Any good archery pro shop should have a selection for you to try so you can see what you feel comfortable with. Most sites will tell you where a dealer is in your area. Good luck and good shooting. http://www.pse-archery.com/prod.php?k=57248&u=0606SHR. Here's a link to the PSE MOJO 3D short draw. 40lb draw, 26" draw length and a very nice bow. Comes with a blue, gray or orange riser. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

actually they really is no such thing as a womens or a mens bow, you need to find a good bow that fits your body. if you are a smaller person then try a compact size bow such as the mathews switchback or something similar. most bows have adjustable weight settings, if your local archery shop has half of a brain then they would know that every person should get his or her bow tuned to themselves. just get yourself a good quality bow and get the archery shop to set the draw length and draw weight for you and then you are ready to sling sticks as good as any man.

i know that some manufacturers have a "womens" model but its nothing more that a tuned down model of the "mens" version.

be attentive to that all and sundry bows are slightly distinctive. some will say they're quieter, some say they're swifter. undergo in innovations that to get arrow velocity, you strengthen noise, to be quieter, you lose arrow velocity. in my opinion, i might particularly have the quietness and all new (extra moderen) bows might have extra suitable than sufficient velocity to do the interest. JD gave stable suggestion approximately going to a expert save and getting geared up with a bow which you're feeling gentle with. they'll userally even make it easier to shoot them there. be waiting to tell them the place and what you would be searching as bow's variety a stable bit in length. i might say to spend approximately 550 or so an a bow or bow kit. you will spend something on upload-ons, i promise. in case you like some variety names to look at, i prefer to propose Parker and Matthews. For arrows, i might say Gold Tip or Carbon show. a number of my different favorites are Muzzy Broadheads, all of Limbsavers products (S Coil Stablizer and String Leeches are large), Whisker Buisket aarow relax, Copper Johns factors of interest and Cobra launch. it relatively is in actuality as much as you. do no longer purchase something which you're no longer pleased with or which you is in basic terms no longer pleased with in the years yet to return. I study something some Kia and Cadilac comparrison, i do no longer very own the two one, yet be attentive to a lot of persons that commerce in very almost new caddy's. attempt all of them out and you would be pleased with what you get. Get what's the superb option for you.

I have had great luck buying my bows on eBay. I have found excellent deals (50% less than market value in some cases).
