I am a single woman and my age is 28 years old. My big problem is, now I have to pay a lot of debts which is not mine. 3 years ago, my sister's business almost colaps and to help her I make a personal loan RM 20000, and give all the money to her. I also give two credit cards under my name. Now my sister's business already bankrupted. All credit cards, personal loan I need to pay by myself. I just quit my job and now I am jobless. I can't blame anybody or myself, just to ask anybody who can give me advice or solutions how to settle everything. With this problem, I can't even give RM50 a month to my mom. Pity her...I am the only child who graduate. I feel useless and sometimes I think I should jump from the 21th floor flats. Pls help...

First of all, at 28 years old, no matter what mistakes you have made your life is not over. There thousands of people who have been worse situations and some at a much later age. The first thing is promise yourself you will learn from this and not loan money to ANYONE that will get you in financial "suicide". Secondly, even though it's only 6,000 (U.S. dollars), you may want to consider bankruptcy. Businees people use bankruptcy all the time. Don't take bankruptcy lightly. There are a lot of after effects from doing this but you get to "start over". Finally of course, you need to get a job and get some money coming in. You can't even begin to get back to where you want with no income. Good luck.

If you start fixing this right now, I bet by the time you are 35 you will be better than you were before. And if you think your life is over at 35 then you may need to work on some other issues.

Now is NOT the time to throw a self-pity party.

What you should do, however, is learn from this lesson. You can NOT give your sister or family things you don't have. If you couldn't pay back 20,000 RM or the full credit line on two credit cards, then you can't give your sister ANYTHING but FREE advice.

That's it!

When you place family loyalty above your own financial security, then you get situations like these where you contemplate suicide. Honestly, loyalty is overrated. You should be there as a COMFORTER for your sister. No where does it state that you must be a co-signer for your sister or co-sign her debts or a provider of "seed money" you don't have!

Everyday you wake up is a gift from God. God has determined that you have purpose today. There are some folks who won't get that chance to wake up. Show God what'cha working with and dig yourself out of this self-created hole. Show God the depth and richness of your character by slowly but surely turning this situation around.

We all have seasons where we are humbled and fall from grace. The measure of a man or woman is how he/she acts in these times, rather than in comfort and convenience.

Dust yourself off. Get a job. Pay back your debts slowly but surely and tell your sister to GET A JOB and kick your mom some money whilst you get yourself together. It is the LEAST your sister can do since you loaned, or shall I say gifted her 20,000 RM.

RM20,000. Are you in Malaysia or some other countries. Different countries may have different bankruptcy law. My advice is that you should first check out the law and policy regarding bankruptcy in your country.

Dont jump off from the 21th floor. There should be a solution for you. For now, you can either 1) borrow money from families 2) find a job 3) negotiate with your creditor 4) find a financial advisor 5) file bankruptcy. But i dont think you should file bankruptch for RM20,000 (less than 6k US dollar if RM = Malaysian Ringgit)

well, there are all kinds of different views concerning the rapture. Some believe all Christians will be called up before the begining of the great Tribulation, some believe that the rapture will occur 3 1/2 years into the great tribulation when the antichrist sets himself up in the temple as "God" then some believe that Christians are going to have to go through the whole 7 years. It doesn't really matter which of the three is the case as long as you are awake, alert and aware, looking for JESUS CHRIST to return and being spiritually ready. It has nothing to do with politics other than being aware that the antichrist is going to be a world leader, a major player in politics, the bringer of peace in the middle east. Good enough reason to stay out of politics for me!

Stop don’t jump file bankruptcy and get a job. Of course bankruptcy means no credit cards for something like 7 years but you can keep your car and house. Talk to a bankruptcy attorney, today.

I can get you into a sales position.. Many of the people who work with us own there dream home, the car they want, and can retire before they can collect social security. I would like to think we could help you with your situation, (bankruptcy or not) I wish we could give away the materials (catalogs and price list) needed to people in your position, but we do need to be reimbursed for the $6 it costs us to have them produced. If your interested you can email me at

I hope to hear from you soon so we can start to help!!!
