Sometimes we chose the one we thought was the best answer but we haven't seen all the answers yet. Then we can't change our minds and then once we choose we can't receive other answers to our question even if we still want more answers.

Because there can only be ONE best answer! Like what the others said, if you want you can extend the time for more answers to arrive before you choose your best. But in order not to be bog down by information overload, I suggest you cut off at about 20 or 30 answers, unless you have all the time in the world.

A question is open in 3 days. Wait for at least a day or two until people stop answering your question then you can choose the best answer.

when you vote for the best answer then no one can answer the question again, when you ask a question better wait foer at least 6-7 hours b4 voting for the best answer so you can make sure you vote the right answer.

Send this question to Yahoo... I've thought the same thing. Being able to choose a 1st second 2nd and 3rd would be fun.

Once you choose Noone else can answer....thats how it is.. I usually wait at least six hours..

you can extend the date for the question to gain more answers
or you can repost your question at any time

if you just click on the little edit pencil there is an option for extending

sucks sometimes--I hate having a dozen really good ones and having to pick just one
