I don't know the condition of your hair. I use hot iron daily and my hair is still as dry as before, no improvement and also not getting worse. My friend in the other hand, she used to have healthy hair and after she used the hot iron quite often, her hair turned very dry and gets split ends.

Just make sure you use ceramic flat iron so it will not burn your hair.

I think you could use it almost daily, and not have too much trouble. But if you regularly use hot tools on your hair, make sure you take a day off from them once a week, so your hair doesn't go all crispy on you. It really does depend on how much damage you do to your hair usually. If it's dyed, it might be a god idea to be a bit conservative with the hot tools. Try to use good products that promote moisture.

I live in a very humid tropical area so in the summer when my hair frizzes from the humidity I use a flat iron everyday. My trick is that in the morning when I style my hair I use BioSilk on my wet hair blow dry until it's ALMOST dry then use Sunsilk's straighting cream. That keeps my hair pretty frizz free and helps protect it when I need to do touch ups with the flat iron.

as often as you want. Just make sure that you are using a good conditioner and a product that protects your hair from the heat. I like Chi's silk infusion - it looks and feels really oily but doesn't look or feel oily on your hair.
