Hello doctor(s),
My father-in-law is suffering from Jaundice (Hepatites E +ve) since last four months and his health has been degrading by day. He is a long time diabetic. He has thyroid. Now, I dont know if jaundice affect Leaver or leaver disorder show up as jaundice. Doctors have diagnosed him as CLD (Chronic Leaver Disease). Do you have any suggestion or medicine for such patient. More details on patient will be given to any one who comes up for help. Thanks for help.

Hepatitis E does not cause chronic liver disease. It must be hepatitis B or C. Hepatitis B is treated with interferon and lamivudine and C, with interferon and ribavirin.

if he needs a liver you need to make sure that he is on more than one list for a transplant, you can do that.
