Some programs are just NOT compatable...

Nero and ATI decktop are some of the most glaring compatability issues...

You should have ran the compatability test before updating... this test is free to use direct from Microsofts website and will scan your system and identify any possible hardware and/or software issues.

My advice, go the the products manufactorers website and see if they have any fix's for the programs.

Try the device manufacturer's site... see if you can get an update. Otherwise, just download the ASPI drivers from the internet and install them. You can use a program called "ForceASPI" to install ASPI drivers version 4.61. I had used this little app on WinXP, but I don't know if Vista will support it or not, but its worth a try anyway.
