Nope not when a gun is involved!?

I went to my friend house so her and hubby could have a quiet evening without the children,well the neighbors come running out and her husband has a gun and she's telling me to call the police I told the oldest kid who is 14 to close the door he's telling me that's his friends mother,blah blah,so someone else called the police and she tells the cop I witnessed the whole thing and did nothing,now they're asking me can I come down and write a statement.I told them I don't live in this neighborHOOD!You understand?He told me if I witnessed the attack it's by law that I go and fill out this report,is this true?

Yes it is true- but if she just ran out of her house yelling and telling you to call 911 and her husband was chasing her with a gun-then you didn't see the attack! You just saw him chasing her with the gun outside and thats all you saw! If you did see something else then you need to report it because who knows you might just save her life!

NO, legal you do not have to make any kind of statement. Unless you are told to come to court. Other then that you do not have to talk to anyone.

Would it have killed you to call the police. You see someone running out of a house with a gun after his wife and all you would have had to do is pick up a phone and call 911,. Would that have been so hard. ??

Why wouldnt u want to there r children at risk of being hurt. Yes u should make a report and u have to by law.

Yes...if you witnessed a crime you must leagally state what you saw.
