Erythrocytes or red blood cells indicate bleeding somewhere in the urinary system which can be very minor or quite serious. The question is why the cells are there, which can be from a minor irritation, an infection, an injury or even a cancer. Women may also have an elevated urinary RBC count from their menstrual cycle.

This is not a very high number, but you need to ask your doctor exactly what seems to be going on in your case and what other tests, if any, need to be done.
