I am claiming my daughter as a dependant and she is a full time college student. When I filled my taxes I also claimed the EIC and the option of educational credits never came up. I am using an online program, so I was wondering if you are not able to claim both credits? Please let me know.

Claiming the EIC does not disqualify you from the education credits.

After your standard deduction and exemptions, did you have any taxable income? If so, then the education credits would reduce tax on that income. The education credits do not apply if no taxes are owed.
