I get your point of sarcasm, and it is very well placed.

Others here have already touched on merely a few of the disgusting things which have been carried out under the false pretence of alleged "christianity".

In answer:

The problem doesn't originate in the teachings of true christianity.

Where the intolerence and violence originates is when wicked men, in their attempts to gain power, prestige and wealth, twist the teachings of Christ in order to satisfy their own selfish goals.

For any thinking person who has familiarized themself with the teachings of Christ Jesus and the Godly lessons he was dispatched to bring to humankind, it soon becomes abundantly clear that virtually all churches, cults, sects, fellowships, synods, congregations, flocks,.... whatever they call themselves..., "have a form of Godly devotion, but prove [themselves] false to its power;..." 2 Timothy 3:5

"They publicaly declare they know God, but they disown him by their works," Titus 1:16

"If anyone makes the statement: "I love God," and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar." 1 John 4:20 (Remember, ALL men are brothers!)

"The children of God and the children of the devil are evident by this fact: Everyone who does not carry on righteousness does not originate with God, neither does he who does not love his brother." 1 John 3:10

"Really then, by their fruits you will recognize those men." Matthew 7:20

True christianity is named after and based upon the teaching of Jesus Christ. He chose apostles to assist him in his teaching, to record his teaching activities, and to carry on his teaching after his death, which he knew would be the fulfilment of the very first prophesy recorded in the Bible. It's fair to say that Jesus had the "creds" he needed to establish and dictate how Christianity should be observed and practiced.

When asked "'Which commandment is first of all?' Jesus answered: 'The first is, 'Hear, O Isreal, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah, and you must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with your whole mind, and with your whole strength.' The second is this, 'You must love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29-31 (Also recorded at Matthew 22:36-39)

So, perhaps a better way to pose your question, which is a good one and is perfectly valid, would be to ask; "Why does "Christianity" not practice what it has been instructed to preach?"

Peace, Brother, and I hope you have a great day too!

ps. I love your sense of irony and sardonic humor! :) Too bad those with guilty consciences don't get it and respond so defensively! Apparently, they don't like hearing the truth.

the two religions have an difficulty-free "In group Out group" theology. you're the two interior the gang and saved or exterior of the gang and a sinner who's damned to hell. definitely anybody interior the gang are solid and definitely anybody exterior the gang are damned. It makes suitable sense that they could be against one yet another, There are 28,000 Christian sects and on any provide day, 0.5 of the Christians will assert that the different 0.5 are going to burn in hell. "The Catholics are actually not genuine Christians. JW is a cult. The Mormon faith is being led by devil. devil is extra suitable the EvanEvangelicnd extra. Christianity is an in group/out group faith regardless of regards to different individuals that share variations of the religion. And what approximately Islam. who're those 2 Islamic communities that are killing one yet another and why are they doing it? who're the Shia and Sunni and why are they killing one anotanother finally, religions are agencies. They warn their congregations against suggestions, different religions or perhaps discussing different concept structures so as that they are able to maintain their enterprise. well... if you know history you know about all the catolics fight against the muslams! Not that peaceful, right? What you have to know is what it writen in the Bible! To that and do not worry about closed-minded people that some time ago rulled the Earth! Is not a problem of tomorow, is a problem of today! And today Christianity is peaceful to other religions. Respectful? Yes, in the way of letting them with their business and helping them when they need it!

True christianity is, and always has been, peacful and respectful of other religions. while it is true that the crusadew were bloody, you cant find scripture in the new testament anywhere that allows for raising an army and going to war in the name of christ. as far a s bombing abortion clinics and any other act of violence.. well good luck finding the scripture that allows for that. Christianity is not, never has been, a religion of violence. Unfortunatly, people who "consider" themselves to be christian, but do not read the bible or take the time to learn what it says, all to often do things in the name of God that God has nothing to do with. its sad but its true.

One "grand" in particular is the Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. Nice, peaceful, Christian fellow.

And isn't it equally grand that sarcasm transfers so very well and is so well understood online?

(And that there are so many wonderful, thoughtful, and intelligent people in this world with whom to discuss all the many topics listed over there to the left? What a grand world we live in!)

This has got to be a joke!!!

Have you never heard of the Crusades, the extermination of the Native Americans, missionaries all over the world who offer food in exchange for conversion?

You are out of touch with reality and I expect the majority of responses will mirror mine.

What? Are you serious? Are you forgetting the crusades? The torture and murder of millions for witchcraft heresy etc
The blowing up of abortion clinics... the list goes on and on. Christianity is one of the single most bloody intolerant religions in the history of man. Have you never picked up a book other than the bible?

Yeah, especially those Crusades and that little Inquisition they had. Just the pinnacle of respect and peace. And those Salem Witch Trials... oh, how cute and cuddly! Hooray for Jesus! He wants to give everybody a great big hug.. and then kill them.
